Talked to a guy today

I ran into a guy today who's planning on competing in something called the West Coast Martial Arts tournament. It's run by some guy named Wong and it's in the Bay Area. I was curious about the format of the tournament but I'm unable to google up any information about it.

Does the above, hopelessly vague description ring any bells with anyone? It's supposed to run sometime in the next month or so.
