    Hell yeah! Hell no!

**Spoiler** Pride Judges for shockwave really, really sucked.

Is it just me, or did the pride judges this time totally, and utterly rob condo and silva of their wins? I mean, it's as if, Pride no longer cares an ounce about position, submission attempts, and fight control. Rather, all that seems to matter is "who hit who harder".

I seriously think that Silva and condo were robbed. Silva ended both rounds two and three in the mount, and had Hunt's back twice. He also did a moderate amount of damage to Hunt. But more than that, Silva also attempted, and almost got three or four submissions. Granted, Hunt did hit him a bit harder, but that's ALL that hunt did. Silva definitely controlled the entire fight. I feel as though something is really wrong here...

Not to mention that Silva was outweighed by SEVENTY+ lbs...:BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead: :BangHead:

Agreeed. I think that Silve, given the wirght difference, should have been given the fight.
Kondo was a slightly closer call, but probably him too.

bullshit, silva knows how pride scores fights. they dont like fighters who stall, do absolutely nothing from the mount, and make no attempt to finish it. Hunt definitely did try to finish it, he almost knocked Silva out, and nullified all Silvas sub "attempts". while taking **** all damage in the process.

In the end, what makes more of a difference, being punched, or *almost* being subbed? Sure he kept more control and such, but he didn't do as much damage.

i was watching a kotc dvd today and they brought up an interesting point, should you get more points for attempting a sub or for successfully defending a sub. I think if you try a sub and get nullified it shouldnt count either way, its like missing with a punch. you dont get points for a punch that would have killed the other guy if it had hit.

I think I have the same KOTC DVD. Personally I'm of the opinion that escaping a sub/mount merely means that you were placed/placed yourself in an inferior position from which you have to escape from to begin with. I think that fighters ought to be judged on what they did to WIN the fight; escapes and whatnot are things you to do avoid LOSING.

On the flipside, no one ever got points for doing what was necessary to avoid losing. BJJ doesn't score mount escapes.

As did I, many other people agree with that as well. I'm sure there are others that don't...

Yeah but I think when people who know a lot more about fighting than most of the people on Bullshido, Sherdog, etc. all agree that Silva was robbed then it lends a lot of weight to the argument.
