Knees seem to take forever to heal. I popped my LCL on June 1 (audible pop), and it was November before I could sit in seiza. PT helped tremendously. Just make sure you go to a good doctor, and give it time & PT.
Exactly. I suggest regular visits to multiple doctors so you can have a second opinion. I'd take the doctors advice though and just rest.

So you need to shop around . Find a physio who works with athletes and not just with old gomers. Find a good sports physician

? Is swimming good for you- especially the breaststroke leg movement is not necessarily good for the knees.
? Did you really rest - or did you train through the pain.
All this can't be answered in an internet forum. See somebody who knows what he is talking baout.
