All that food does is make you FATTER and ruin your health. Try to avoid it if you can and that goes double if you're under 20.

I think you should bulk up. Most strength athletes (yeah yeah, fighters aren't strength athletes but bare with me a second) that conform to weight classes (ie, not super heavy weights) have a BMI of around 30 to maximize their P4P strength. So that would mean that you should weight around 215... now, since you said for fighting, what I reccomend you do is look at other fighters that who's style is similar to your own and are about your height, and plug their height and weight into a BMI calculator and see what the average is for them, bear in mind that most often you will get their fighting weight which is almost always significantly lower than their training weight.

Personally I still think you should bulk up. more P4P strength you have, the better off you'll be, just make sure you keep up your fight training and you'll be good to go. You gonna be competitive with your fighting or are you just training for self defense? cause if it's the latter, more size and strength and speed is almost always beneficial on the street.

To whoever said they were 5' 11" and 145, YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ASS IN THE KITCHEN MOTHER FUCKER!

25 times the square of your height in meters should equal your max healthy weight in kilograms

According to what? this means that just about every fighter in UFC and pride is overweight... this seems like BMI type bullshit to me. I only laid out the figure 30 as a BMI score ideal for P4P weight as and observation and permission to ignore terms like overweight and start worrying about being overfat instead.

A 10 lbs gain in 6 months is hardly the end of the world.

10lbs in one month might be something to worry about.

Ideal body weight is based on what you need to carry that weight around for.
A marathon runner will have an ideal bodyweight that is just a TAD different than a powerlifter.
Even Body fat percentage is misleading, a fresh(cold) water swimmer must have a higher body fat % than a swimming pool athlete.

You need to be at a weight that is ideal for what you are doing and how you are doing it.
And the only way to find that "ideal weight" is to experiment.
