Awsome. I seem to have dowloaded 3 copies of one of the clips though. I'll comment more when I get it sorted out. I got 2 so far.

    Very badass,

I especially like the one at the Karate tournament....er..the one with the big red banner in the background. Very good power on that lead arm shot and I thought it was more representative of what xing yi is supposed to be like than the others. Good connection through the waist on all of them. The first clip was great but I just couldn't place the techniqe. I'm not really much of a "nei hang" on Xing Yi though....

wait I think I got them... are they supposed to be 2 seconds each?

And it's funny that I can tell you that the song played in the clips for a split second is Bedrock's "For What You Dream of" . Good song.

Very short clips but good nonetheless.

Just the "money shots" from some hard sparring/competition.

Omar, can you highlight what are the aspects of the techniques which are Xingyi? To my uneducated eye, the first and third look like slightly wide hooks. The second I can't see as the ref is in the way. :\

Also, for those who download, for some reason I got the same clip when I first clicked on the links. If you empty your cache each time, it seems to clear up. Not quite sure why, maybe the same filename was used or something. :\

Edit: from my limited experience, I thought xingyi "rooted" itself firmly to the ground when striking. How does the fourth clip work out?

Only barely. My knowledge of Xing Yi may not be much better than yours. It's pretty periferal. I can spot most of the classic 5 fists although I am pretty sketchy on what heng quan is supposed to look like.

I didn't notice the first time through how light he is. I wasn't bothered by the "dancing" at the beggining. There's no reason why ANY style should make you plant your self when you are looking for your shot. But when I keep watching it I can see even when he hits he's still pretty light. Ironic, because that was maybe my favorite. I like the way he drilled up the middle. He also played the angle well "taking space". Look at how he steps in between the other guys legs. I think that's part of how he rocks the guy so well with a lead hand punch. That clip, according to the banner in back, is from a "karate tournament".

The first clip looked pretty solid. Again, I don't know from specific techniqes but look at his footwork. ...not boxing style. The best part of that clip is the way he's connected through the waist.

I actually got more out of the 2nd clip than the 3rd. The 3rd....just brawling really. Some good punching but nothing worth commenting on. But the second clip, again, look at the only thing you can see clearly in that one, his feet. I thought he was driving through well and that you could see some of his training showing through in his foorwork.

Hopefully someone who really trains Xing Yi will comment later. I'm just pointing out stuff I liked like the way he keeps that slight forward curve in the back and connects his feet to his punches.

Just for info, the badass's is Kyle Chung himself~~~
Was a commando during his military service days, saw his pics and he has very toned-up body~~~
Though he is Internal CMA guy,he believe IMA guys should also train in "wai gong" aka externally, such as weight training.Amongst other thing,he also trained in groundwork~~~
Tang Shou Dao also seems to encourage sparring,he seems to be 1st or 2nd in Tang Shou Dao Japan-Taiwan match~~~

It seems like a rabbit punch to me,but really well executed~~~
He got 2nd in the unlimited weight category btw~~~

    For info on the techniques:
The first vid is "civet cat climbs the tree"(狸貓上樹)
Second one is a "Tai"(駘) form application
Third one is "腰部捶"(pounding from the waist?)

Last is also a "Tai" form application
