    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Will I starve if I eat the following, daily:

    1 egg white.
    10 roasted non-salted peanuts.
    3 raw apples.
1 cup of nonfat, plain yogurt.

    Nutrition Facts

    Amount Per 1 white
    Calories 16.43
    Calories from Fat 0

    Egg white.

    Nutrition Facts

Amount Per 1 cup (8 fl oz)
    Calories 136.64
    Calories from Fat 3.97

    Yogurt

    Apple, 3, raw

    Nutrition Facts

Amount Per 3 medium (2-3/4" dia) (approx 3 per lb)
    Calories 244.26
    Calories from Fat 13.41

    Nutrition Facts

    Amount Per 10 nuts
    Calories 50.84
    Calories from Fat 38.82

    10 peanuts.

What should I add to this for a more well-rounded diet? It looks okay % breakdown wise according to www.fitday.com's tracking, but I'm totally sure this isn't enough calories. If I work out and follow this rigidly, will my muscle break down? (I do strength training, and also run a little, only 5 miles).

And lo, Kano looked down upon the field and saw the multitudes. Amongst them were the disciples of Uesheba who were greatly vexed at his sayings. And Kano spake: "Do not be concerned with the mote in thy neighbor's eye, when verily thou hast a massive stick in thine ass".

The reasoning behind it, I can't say. I just take information from Pizdoff and TaeBoMaster and hope I'm getting the whole, "Things that are good for you to eat" thing down.

My personal reason for following such a diet: I want to lose bodyfat. I'm not sure about whether or not I'm willing to risk muscle breakdown though. As it is, I love strength training, and I'm wondering if I can cut calories by a drastic amount (this goes up to like 600 calories, according to fitday I need 1774 base) and maybe maintain my muscle mass.

Also, if this IS healthy, I'd like to customize it a bit once I am at what I consider a fit weight (I'm 160 now) and add foods to get to whatever calorie minimum I need.

Oh, I sure can. I went four years eating salad and egg whites every damn day. I can do it, as long as I know I'm getting what I need.

Damnit. I worked hard for my muscles. =/ How do I figure out exactly what I need, calorie wise? I want nothing more, I hate food. Should I take multi-vitamins to compensate (and thus avoid calories), or go for the food instead?

Seriously? Damn. Should I just multiply everything by 2?

Edit: After watching The Machinist, I learned this: "The producers of the film claim that Christian Bale dropped from about 190 pounds in weight down to about 130 pounds in weight to make this film. They also claim that Bale actually wanted to drop down to 110 pounds, but that they would not let him go below 130 out of fear that his health could be in too much danger if he did. His diet consisted of one can of tuna and an apple per day. His 63 pound weight loss is said to be a record for any actor for a movie role. He since gained the weight back." -Taken from imdb.com

You're looking at something like 450 calories in that whole thing. my dog couldn't survive on 450 calories. Also, keep this in mind: If you cut calories TOO drastically, your body goes into starvation mode, which means that it will try to reduce energy expenditure as much as possible, and maintain emergency stores as much as possible. What this translates to is a preference for burning up muscle tissue despite its use. And also the body using fat as a last resort. Meaning, you'll be bones and fat until you die.
