My cousin gave me some tapes of him doing tkd. I learned from those tapes. When I beat up an Akido instructor, and made him take rest breaks, I used TKD. I learned Bjj from watching ufc and pride and then I copied them and wrestled my cousin for practice. I choked him out and he tapped. -

Having just watched Saku Silva 2 (pride 17) last night, my hopes aren't high for Saku. That was a few years ago, when Saku was in his prime. Now Silva is in his prime and Saku is on the downward slide.
Even back then it was like he was surviving rather than trying to win. Although there were a few moments of genius (catching the kick and quick single leg) I think Saku needs more than a little luck to win this.
On a side note, it was awesome in that fight when saku was on his back and silva was up and kicking his leg (like how Saku did to Royler.) Saku timed it perfectly and as Silva loaded up for a huge kick, Saku flattened his leg... Vanderlei completely missed and was sent spinning at which point saku shot in to take him down... Saku certainly has a magic.
Whoever wins it will be a great fight, as long as its not a work.Imports from Japan, Shipping Worldwide! Art Junkie, Scramble, BJJ Spirits, Reversal...
