Wow this is right by where I live. I had never heard of this place. Maybe I should go by, check it out. Maybe I could get my black belt in a year.....................
I could then appoint myself a founder of some new art and assume a Hanshi title.

Ch'uan Fa, Tae Kyon, Jujutsu, and Bujutsu
Isn't "Ch'uan Fa" just the Chinese way of saying "kempo"? I guess he wanted to sound cooler.

Dosen't "bujutsu" just mean "warrior arts"? So, like, saying you'll learn it while mentioning other specific MAs is just being generic and dumb?

And, would it kill him to add the "do" to "Tae Kyon" [sic?]?

    EDIT:

    On his resume, it says

    Qi Gong Master Natural Wushu

    Chi kung =/= wushu, bitch!

It is my understanding tht Bujutsu is all of the Classical Martial Arts of Japan. There are not many teachers here in the west, and very few books about are written in English.

That's even better. The guy teaches all the martial arts of ancient Japan. So, he has swordsmanship, archery, horse archery, knows how to swing a naginata, and use nunchaku and jutte......

The whole Chun'Fa and Tae Kyon thing seems to come up frequently in Bullshido. Now, the historians and cultural experts will correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like the more usual or "ancient" you can make your **** sound, the better.

My understanding is that "tae kyon" is an older term for what became modern TKD. But it sounds sexier, even if that's not. Taekwondo -- everyone's heard of that! No, my art is Tae Kyon, yeah, that's it. It's t3h d34dly anci3nt fighting art taught to me by some cool Asian guy. Chuan'fa, yep, I've mastered that too. Not kempo, that has been watered down, but the pure original chuan'fa. I read about it on the Internet. I mean learned it from a chinaman.

Yeah, I left that out. It's a flashing danger sign when someone who went to three colleges and never graduated from one, claims expertise in things that require knowledge of Asian languages, etc.

    Not impossible, just improbable.

Good, I was hoping a TKD guy would stop by. What is the difference?
