You guys are even masochists when it comes to jumping rope! :lol: I can't see spending $30 for a jump rope, as I do not use the leather one I've got enough to justify the cost, but if you're jumping at 3rps, I guess you need something a little more hardcore.
I thought Buddy Lee sold jeans? -

I have a $5 thin plastic rope from the department store. It has worked fine for 4 years.
This one, I took off the foam handles and adjusted the length.

I've been using an Aerospeed for about 6 months and it has been great.
After about 3 months, the bearings snapped in half. I called them, and within a week they sent me some new prototype bearings that were supposed to be stronger. It has been working great thus far.
I also have Buddy Lee's book, and it contains good information regarding various jump rope techniques and routines (even specific ones for martial arts). -
