Yup, I did a thread about it ("dear diary", use it on the search engine). The base training and the straight punches are still part of my toolbox.

Cmack, we're at the Cherry Creek Plaza at Manchaca and Stassney. The gym is between Goodwill and Blockbuster. I'm pretty sure Rudy would let someone try it for free. Come on by or check out the website, it's www.vasquezacademy.com.

Sweet. I know exactly where that is. I'll try and come by in the next couple of weeks or so.

Also, both hedge and 1bad65--you guys aren't going to beat the living **** out of me just because I'm a TCMA'er, are you?

No way CMack. That's one thing I like about the gym, everyone is there to improve their game, not put others down. There are a few fighters there too, funny thing is they are the most humble ones. After you come by, let me know if you liked (or disliked) it.

Nice job bringing up a dead thread you mecromancer you!
But you need to go read the original thread, saying they know more then you learned in 7 years isn't saying much since you take TKD, which i believe was hedges' point.

This site has seen a number of apparently internet noobs come on to blindly defend this school only to make it further look like a mcdojo, please state something that hasn't been said and bring something new to the table or stfu

I've looked around this website a while, so it really is no surprise to find you guys bashing another martial art here. This is a good school. You guys call them Mc Dojos. I call them black belt factories. This is not one of them. I'm not sure how any of you have come to your conclusions that this art "sucks". I wonder if any of you can tell me which martial arts this eclectic art has been influenced by? Yeah, I kinda doubt it. It's so easy to get online, get a user name, and begin bashing that nobody thinks twice. Respect is leaving this society as a desirable trait to have, and it is a sad thing. I sometimes wonder if Westerners were ever really worthy of the gifts of the Asian martial arts.

One last thing before I go, though. If any of you are truly interested in what it means to be a warrior, then I entreat you to seek out "Living the Martial Way : A Manual for the Way a Modern Warrior Should Think" by Forrest E. Morgan.

    Peace.
