I have a Atama BJJ gi I use for practice that I like so much that I'm buying myself an Atama judo gi for myself for Christmas so that I can use it for Judo competitions next year

i to use an atama and i love it but id like to have another gi. and im not an expert but all the judo gi's ive seen are cut longer and have baggier sleeves. in jiu jjtsu the gi can only be so tight so ive seen people use judo gi in practice but youd never use one in competition(to much to grab). so id say that in judo the gi can only be so tight before there deemed illegal. again i am just speculating.
Eduardo "Why'd you stop."
Me "I was kicked in the head by the guys sparring next to me."
Eduardo "Ino what happened but i didnt say you could stop."
Me "Um.. I guess I keep going."
Eduardo "You dont stop until i say stop, you dont get tired until i say your tired, keep going."

My cousin gave me some tapes of him doing tkd. I learned from those tapes. When I beat up an Akido instructor, and made him take rest breaks, I used TKD. I learned Bjj from watching ufc and pride and then I copied them and wrestled my cousin for practice. I choked him out and he tapped. -

Yes judogi need to meet minimum length requirments. It didn't use to be like that, but it is today.
As to judogi, every company makes a different dogi and there is no standard. The best thing you can do is find a compnay or two that make dogi that fit you well and use them. I have been at this for a while and have a number of dogi. I have singles and doubles, but I only wear two different brands as they fit me well and I know what I am getting. Sizing varies as well. Like I said find a couple that fit and stick with them.
