is this what a kung fu ass looks like? ;)

    (from http://www.shaolin.ch)

anyway, another great swiss "grandmaster" who's providing "professional instruction in chinese, korean and philippino martial arts", is member of approximately 3000 associations (scroll to the bottom of the page) and whose nickname is "lighning fist": http://www.kungfu.ch/profil.htm

and he looks really sporty :)

I know one thing... he should be a sure-fire contendor this years Bullshido "Unfittest Sensei" award.

I seem to remember us having one of those.

Laugh if you will at the 10th dan grading, but as a student of Chinese martial arts I am tired of people asking me what belt I have, then assuming I know nothing when I say I don't have one.

Yes Rico I here you. Unfortunately for most people they don't understand that kung fu doesn't really use the belt system. Sort of like Muay Thai, boxing, kickboxing, wrestling but do you here anything about them? Noooooo.

Then when a kung-fu person makes up the rank everybody jumps on there ass for not being traditional. ::::fraud::::

So then you make up your own style and call it numchuckdo. :::giggle::: and they laugh at you.

Then you kick everybody's ass in the ring and tell them you don't need a belt. Then they call you a fraud!!!!

There's no justice in the world!!!!

Go away I'm talking to myself

FYI...Master Ziegler is well respected in the HKD community. Don't make snap judgements on his appearance. This is one gentleman that I would recommend you take him to the mat and see if he can hold his own before commenting.

Skilled or otherwise, it appears as if he's as concerned with accumulating titles and awards as he is with more martial pursuits.

Contrast him with a guy like Superfoot Wallace. Both, we can assume, are good, this guy in Europe goes around building schools and collecting awards, while a guy like Superfoot is content to write for Black Belt and teach seminars once in a while.

The first guy, if you wanted to contact him, you'd probably have to ask his secretary to find a day when he's not due to receive some award or create a new, redundant martial arts organization. (Look at me, look at me, I'm the President and Chief Grandmaster of the 84th St. Aho-jitsu Association!) Mr. Wallace, on the other hand-- His number can be found in the phone book.

This proves, of course nothing, and doesn't make much of a point. Sometimes, though, proving nothing well is better than proving something poorly.

Grandmaster Jurg (off) is the real deal. He is very BIG (Mac) in the martial arts, I mean really BIG. He has credential in everything although he is humble(pie) enough not to tell the world how many more degrees he has. He is not chicken (KFC) to confront anyone, he is a whopper (big supersized) of a guy. He had to live in a hut (pizza) when training, and get up to a bell (taco) in the morning. I can only say that a person with a mind which can comprehend all the systems to be a Grandmaster, is really and accomplishment. He should try being a fry cook at Dennys as his next goal.
