I wear a plain grey t-shirt and board shots. The board shots have only one pocket that velcros shut so no digits get caught in it. It also has a draw string which laces through metal rings, so it is quite sturdy.
Just look through some BJJ gear website and see what they sell, and you should be good to wear it. Here's one taken at random:
