I think standing up bruce lee would win but on the ground he will probally lose.

Yea this Bruce Lee vs X stuff really does suck what we need is a more contempary match like say Giant Lee vs Mike Tyson

Now who do ya think would win that one. I think Lee would get him in the 6th round..:>)

Anybody actually have these videos of Bruce Lee's sparring matches? How about that one at some fair where he sparred a karate guy and lost? I can't find any "real" sparring clips on the internet.

Not being a really fan of either, here's my take- if Bruce were alive with the skills shortly before his death, Bruce would have won. Not because of his JKD style -seeing how he abandoned it as stylistic and confining- but because of his ability to evolve his fighting methodology. He would've analyzed the weakness of Royce's approach to combat. Theoretically, given his power and speed, Bruce would've staved off a takedown or quickly reversed and escaped a ground fight. He then would've gotten back up and punched and kicked the hell out of Royce easily after Royce expended much of his energy trying to grapple Bruce.

Royce can't fight standing up, this is one reason Sakuraba beat him like a little girl until Royce's corner threw in the towel giving up.

Pre-Pride Final fight by Royce: "This is my house now. I'm Back."
Post-Pride Final fight by Royce against Sakuraba: "................."

I actually don't think Bruce was such a chump. Just reading his works he had a good mind about MA and was willing to test his ideas and not just leave them as theory.

This is not a diss to jkd or bl I respect them both but you see the assinine stuff alot of TMA's deal with . There aer still MA's that believe they can avoid a ground game.
