Baji is different from other arts and has no relationship whatsoever to them.
Baji is about total anihilation. Not hitting, "smashing". That's where his theory is flawed. He forgot to take into account how actually some arts smash and others hit. Even his shuai jiao theory has this problem. See the mongolians have developed a grappling styles while the Baoding Shuaoi jiao has taken a completely different evolutionary and gone the throwing route.
Then we could look at his comparison between shaolin and bagua. Everyone knows that Shaolin stylists copy aniumals but the arts of Wudang such as Bagua and Taiji copy porn stars and use their jing instead of regular muscular strength.
