    Diets

I'm interested in learning what the different types of diets for different sections of training would be. For example, what would the best diet(general terms or not) be for general traiining, for training for a fight, and for right before a fight. For example I read somewhere(forget where now that I think of it, hmmm) that fighters would be best to purge their body(not eat) carbohydrates for about a week before a fight, what's the reasoning for that? Or is that bs?

This reminds me of the time when someone on another forum asked for 'MMA training that had workouts for MMA.'

So TaeBo_Master, how's your week been?

A healthy diet (click the link in pizdof's sig *cough*), IMHO would be enough for all of this. I see no reason not to eat carbs before a fight, because carbs help give your body energy.

Now I await the inevitable flaming and neg repping for actually attempting to answer said question.

Reikon is correct, IF extremely basic and nebulous.

That's not a stupid question at all:
I f you training mainly for strength you should eat mainly beef from ( preferably ) strong bulls.
If training for endurance, horse meat is recommended.

To purify yourself for a fight your diet should mainly contain water which is collected by buddhist monks from the flower of the kun foo plant.
Never eat carbohydrates before a fight they will give you bad karma.

Right before a fight drink a raw egg, this is a symbol of your young and pure spirits
I can also sell you some sea tang extract which will purify you even further.

What kind of fight? Are you trying to cut weight to make a division? I can't think of any other reason to cut out carbs.

My week has been pretty good. Thanks for asking TBM.
Got a decent mark on my second Sociology midterm.
New PR for deadlifts, weak as I am.
Perfect on my Financial Accounting quiz.
Couple times of bag work, where my should was feeling incrementally better.
Then had some fun times at the TO McThrowdown on the 26th Friday.

Injured DokterVet's leg by blocking with my ass, then got bloodied up doing standup sparring with ironMung. Also laughed at j416to for not showing up.
