A healthy diet (click the link in pizdof's sig *cough*), IMHO would be enough for all of this. I see no reason not to eat carbs before a fight, because carbs help give your body energy.

That's not a stupid question at all:
I f you training mainly for strength you should eat mainly beef from ( preferably ) strong bulls.
If training for endurance, horse meat is recommended.
To purify yourself for a fight your diet should mainly contain water which is collected by buddhist monks from the flower of the kun foo plant.
Never eat carbohydrates before a fight they will give you bad karma.
Right before a fight drink a raw egg, this is a symbol of your young and pure spirits
I can also sell you some sea tang extract which will purify you even further.

My week has been pretty good. Thanks for asking TBM.
Got a decent mark on my second Sociology midterm.
New PR for deadlifts, weak as I am.
Perfect on my Financial Accounting quiz.
Couple times of bag work, where my should was feeling incrementally better.
Then had some fun times at the TO McThrowdown on the 26th Friday.
