Nice! I'm an architectural consultant bi-monthly to a H.O.A. in a large community in California. I basically make recommendations so the Architectural Review Committee can act on them. If any plans come across my desk for putting a cage in the backyard they will get a big approval! Let's Get Ready to Ruuuuummmmbbble!

Yes and no. All I do is review plans to see if they meet the criteria set forth by the ARC. (Architectural Review Committee). Then I redline the items that don't meet the criteria and the committee acts on my recommendations. So technically, I don't approve or disapprove anything. If the community doesn't like the guidlines they can change them as the guidelines are set by the Board which is made up of residents.

To make a long story short, I am the sorcerer whispering in the Kings ear. The devil on someones shoulder. A Design Nazi who's real intent is to rule the world.

Yeah, all that and it pays the bills!

Oh yeah, BTW, we are currently house hunting to get the F out of an H.O.A. community. I personally hate 'em! I pay $330 per month to use an F-en pool that is always full of little kids who poop and pee. :angry4:

I know someone who's in fencing if you need me to look into the cost of coated chain-link...I don't know if that really helps you, considering the distance between us, but let me know and I'll look into it. I don't mind arranging shipping if necessary.

Yeah, it'd probably be cost prohibitive to import fencing.

I live on a friggin farm, off a dirt road. The dirt road has a HOA. I kid you not. They tried to keep up from putting in the arena, because of the proximity to the already wide (dead-end) road. It was like 6 inches into the easement-thing, or something . When you live on a hill, there aren't that many options for a fairly flat 100x150 area. My parents said screw you and put it up anway. God, they rock. :icon_mrgr

Now, back to fencing. O:-)

How much would it cost to order a cage? Boxing rings cost like 2-6000 american or some such ridiculous figure, I don't particularly want to think about how much a 'Cage' would cost.

There are different fencing materials available at your local Home Depot, Lowes and what not. Honestly, I know I have been bounced off of different ones, climbed them, and such. I don't recall a difference.

But it is always cool to shred a cabage against the cage before a show.
