You're Wasting Your Time With MA!

I know this website is about exposing all the bullshit in the martial arts, and in so called martial artists, but I think there is something worse. In a lot of posts I'm reading about people bashing martial arts in general, explaining how they are all flawed and weak in real life situations. These people IMO are worse than any McDojo or Bullshidoist, because they are at least involved with some form of martial arts, even if it's ineffective or weak or whatever.

I mean how easy is it to be like "all martial arts are useless, if a guy pulls a gun on you, you're finished, so all MA is weak and pointless." I just wanna be like "yeah, so!? What's you're fcuking point!?" The fact is, they don't have one. Might as well open up a gym that's called Extreme Gang Wars Training and just basically teach everybody how to use a switch blade, a baseball bat, a crowbar, and a wide selection of handguns and automatic weapons. Why waste your time with martial arts when these people could KILL you with a day's worth of training? Nobody trains MA to dodge bullets and survive being attacked by people with all those weapons. Sure it's a lot easier to hide behind a gun like a little bitch, and it's easier to pull a trigger than train hard in MA. What about Alex Gong? When he was shot and killed by a criminal with a gun, did people say "ehh...he should have trained harder?" MA training and being shot dead are two totally different things, and to say MA is a waste of time because of guns is something a complete dumbass would say. With that way of thinking, you might as well say hey, why come out of your house and get a job and make friends and even live for that matter? Somebody might shoot you! You might as well not bother with MA and not bother with life at all.

To me...thinking like that makes somebody a giant bleeding ***** (no offense to the women). I think people like this should be exposed and stopped above all else. Their idea about MA might be a small and stupid opinion, but when you think about how that way of thinking basically means that everything is dangerous and scary, so we might as well give up and die, than it kinda has a much worse effect on the world than let's say a guy who pretends to be an MA master just to make a living.

Gun Shmun -- besides, a lot of what is taught out there today IS weak and ineffective in most situations. How does it affect the world? Probably not much. How does it affect those who train in martial arts? Probably not that much. Basically, if their flawed thinking makes it onto this website, they are exposing themselves. Why are you wasting your energy worrying about them? If anything, you should pity them.

I don't give a **** what anyone else thinks about martial arts in general, or the variety I practice. I don't advertise the fact that I practice, but I don't hide it either. If I get that kind of "MA is bullshit" reaction, I say "Yeah, you may be right, but I like it. Wanna play around and see what we can see?". Not a challenge really, just an invitation.

I don't think Bullshido needs to attack people because of opinions. Someone's opinion about martial arts will hardly ever have any effect unless you let it bother you, but some jackass fraud who steals your money is much worse in my opinion.

As for Fraud being worse than stupidity, I disagree. I think most, if not all of the world's problems stem from stupidity and ignorance.

My grade 11 English teacher once said "Education is the great equalizer."

Since joining this site, I have been thinking a lot about how the problem this site is dedicated to fighting, (Bullshido.) only exists because people are so grossly uneducated about MA. And when I think about that, I start to realize how right she was.

Of course, there are a lot of people that are just plain too fucking stupid to ever learn, which is why I never gave what she said much thought until recently. And of course, educating people in general is quite hard, but I think if people were smarter and better informed in general, the world would at least be a slightly better place.

By the way, I love Smeagol's suggestion.

Well, like Itto-Ryu said, stupidity is worse than fraud IMO, and I never said stupid people should be "knocked off" or something. I'm saying since stupidity is worse, than educating the kind of people I was talking about is more important than exposing fraud. I'm not saying exposing fraud isn't important. I think it's very important to do that, but I mean in general, those stupid kind of people cause the world a lot more trouble than frauds. I'm not saying forget about frauds and worry about the uneducated people, I'm saying don't forget about the uneducated people cuz that's a big problem too.
