Why don't you just get him to join MA? I don't understand why he can't just do all that extra stuff on his own time. With weights that light, can he even hurt himself if he tried? That's like paying a mechanic to see if you are filling your car with gas correctly.

The thing is, it's a motivation issue. My dad absolutely hates exercise, and I don't think he's gonna abandon circuit training just because it's the only exercise he's found that he enjoys. Well...that and because he paid for a year at the gym.
As for condition, he's 5'8, 177lbs, about 22% bodyfat, and his goals are basically to cut the bodyfat, lose about 20lbs, get to a 32" waist from a 35"ish, and be "healthy"."Emevas,
