2/12/2005 Ithaca, NY - USA Hill Center at Ithaca College
Ithaca, NY -- The NE Grappling Challenge returns to the Hill Center at Ithaca College on Saturday, February 12, 2005.
Promoters Ryan Ciotoli and Joseph Cunliffe present this exclusive No-Gi tournament, which offers divisions for Men, Women, Children, Teen and Masters, with skill levels of Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Age and weight will divide the Children and Teen Divisions, while Women and Masters Divisions will be divided by weight and skill level.
The tournament will feature 2 8-Man Absolute Divisions of Up to 174.9 pounds and Over 175.0 pounds.
To assure fairness, competitors will only be allowed to compete at their skill level.
Doors open at 8:00AM, with Registration and Weigh-Ins from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. The 8-Man Absolute Divisions will begin at 11:00AM and the Tournament follows.

How are you going to determine someone's skill level?? How are you going to make sure people don't "sand bag"?

I think this means they won't let Renzo compete in the blue belt division.

You're never going to stop sandbagging. It happens all the time and its the worst in small tournaments. The NAGA at least has a data base where they can track people and see how long they've competed for.
