Obviously dumbells are an awsome training tool but I stand by my former statement.

One of the things I have been told over and over by BB and powerlifters alike is that, Because you can put more weight on a barbell and thus handle more weight, you get bigger and stronger quicker with Barbells.
Now, by that same theory, machines would make people bigger and stronger, faster than Barbells, because you can do more weight on a Hammer chest press, than you can on a conventional Bench press, as an example.
Thing is, barbells allow you to put more weight, hince use more weight than dumbells, AND they also still need SOME stablizers ( though not as much as DB need), so you kind of get the "best of both worlds", or at least enough of both worlds.

doesn't matter how much you work out...that diet is no good for you in the long run. sure you dump in a ton of calories, but if you're ingesting transfats...your arteries'll clog up regardless of how much you work out.
if for some reason all the chinese vendors are using say canola oil for the deep fried stuff, don't go crazy on it. my motto is...everything in moderation.
TBM...do you find it odd how many people can't get it through their heads the basic idea of weight gain/loss equals calories in vs. calories out?
i find it frustrating when people ask for advise, get a simple answer, specific advise and still complain about not being able to lose weight. of course their are exceptions, but i've now added on "the bottom line is, if you REALLY want to lose weight you can, but if you're half-ass about it you won't"

I never said dumbbells more machines were better for mass. There's no such thing as one tool that's the best at anything for everybody.

In Max, yeah. In the HW's, most of them are somewhat sloppy-looking. Doesn't say anything about the cardio though, it's smart to be as heavy as possible in an open weight class if you can keep the stamina the same.
