This magazine article was based on the 33 masters' statement after leaving the group all at once in 1992. Pseudo Sun-Do (traditional Korean Sprituality) turned to a cult religion

-Mr. Tak (1937-1994) was the most famous religion scholar and cult expert who was murdered by a cult member Im Hong-Chun who stabbed him to death in South Korea.
-This article on Ilchi Lee was written in 1992, but Ilchi’s way of cult practice did not change much since then.

Established writer Kim Tae Young who wrote “People’s Army”, “Da Mul”, “Han Dahn Go Ki”, SunDo Che Hum Ki, etc was sued twice by Ilchi Lee for defamation, but the court ruled for his innocence.

Sun Do Che Hum Ki published on August of 1991 was based on 33 ex-dahn masters’ letter to the authorities about Mr. Lee’s cult activities that included money embezzlements, document forgery, illegal medical practice violation, food and pharmaceutical law violation, incitement of lynching, and labor law violation.

Mr. Kim used fictitious names in his books, and the first 3 books of SDCHK was the strongest boost to Mr. Lee’s organization, but by the time Mr. Kim wrote the Book 4, he discovered the truth of the evil cult leader, and revealed all his dark sides, and felt socially responsible to inform people not to be deceived by this evil man.

After Book 4 was published, Mr. Lee’s evil deeds publicized and most of Lee’s followers left the organization. Mr. Lee did not sue Mr. Kim himself (he did not want to appear in the court), but Mr. Lee cowardly instructed 9 of his masters to sue for defamation on his behalf in Seoul in 1991.

Mr. Kim was questioned by partial police and prosecutor (most likely paid by Mr. Lee), and they tried so hard to get Mr. Kim to confess the book was about Mr. Lee.
On the other hand, the 33 ex-dahn masters’ complaint to the police did not go anywhere, and the defendant Mr. Lee was not even called for questioning. After a while, Mr. Lee was ruled innocent.

Mr. Lee was seasoned reporter for 23 year working for Korea Herald, HanKookIlBo and Korea Times, and a respected writer for over 20 years, but the way police treated him unreasonably.

According to the 33 ex-dahn masters’ complaint, 40 years old Mr. Lee was former Medical Equipment operator who graduated from Dan Kuk University evening college, majoring in Physical Education. Mr. Lee also claimed he was the head of Pathology Department of H hospital, but the claim has been proven to be a lie. Mr. Lee also claimed he holds a chiropractic doctorate degree from Japan, but this was also proven a lie.

Mr. Lee was a former member of the Unification Church, and was hospitalized for 6 months in a mental hospital for insanity. He was also declared by the court of legal insanity per request of his family.

He created many organizations under his non-profit organization Han Mun Hwa Won, and very active in college campuses, and his illegal embezzlements are as follows:

Expense Account – Mr. Lee’s official payment by the organization is 5 Million Won ($5000 US) per month, but he embezzled many times more by fabricating the accounting books. Many of his masters were getting paid on the books, but most of their salaries went into his pocket.
Mr. Lee also claimed he gave a discharge allowance when masters quit, but he pocketed all the money and not even a cent was given to departed masters.

Mr. Lee’s residence was bought by Han Mun Hwa Won, and also most of real estate supposedly owned by Han Mun Hwa Won was actually in Mr. Lee or his wife’s name.
Han Mun Hwa Won also owns a health clinic, but most of the profit goes to Mr. Lee.
Mr. Lee also incorporated a company with his life time members, but all the capital was embezzled by Mr. Lee.

Mr. Lee solicited donation to build the Lifetime Membership Building, but the building is nowhere to be found and Mr. Lee embezzled the entire fund. There are many more donation embezzlement cases.

These embezzlements cases were known by 2 departed masters who reported Mr. Lee’s wrong doings to Korean IRS.

In 1985, Mr. Cha Jung Rhang who wrote all Mr. Lee’s Dahn Hak books (but the books were published under Ilchi Lee’s name), pleaded complained to Mr. Lee of his wrong doings, but was kicked out of the organization without any payment. Mr. Cha’s wife went to Mr. Lee for the payment of his salary, but Mr. Lee instructed one of his masters to terrorize Mr. Cha’s wife.

On 3/26/1991, the president of Han Mun Hwa Won lifetime members Dr. Kim complained to Mr. Lee of his wrong doings. Again, Mr. Lee kicked him out and 2 of Lee’s masters threatened him with sushi knife if he ever talked about Han Mun Hwa Won. This became known after the 2 masters wrote letters of acknowledgement to avoid their prosecution.

Most of Ilchi’s masters lived together at Han Mun Hwa Won or centers and worked round the clock with little pay. Mr. Lee even embezzled their small salary with many execuses.
Every month, Mr. Lee gathers all the masters for Chun-Je and ask them to pay for it while he goes around massage parlors in ShinSaDong doing perverted sexual activities and shows off his expensive Swiss watch. He also surprised his masters with trips to South East Asia and expensive gifts for his wife and electronic goods.
Every cult have some form of sexual perversion.

Ilchi created a training named “Ok Mun Su Ryun” which means the training for vagina. Mr. Lee violated many female masters and members and Miss J who was a school teacher committed suicide after Mr. Lee violated her. Miss P became pregnant as the result of “Ok Mun Su Ryun”.

Further more, Mr. Lee raised himself to godly status by demanding the first person who sees him to shout “Gyung Rye!” and everyone at the center should bow to him 3 times.
Mr. Lee sells health food and pills (Jung Chung Hwan) for 90,000 won, and deceives people that the food and the pill can heal any disease.
Mr. Lee claims he teaches and spreads lost ancient Korean traditional spirituality and Dahn Gun, but in reality, he makes himself a deity, embezzle, sexual predation and ridiculous propaganda.

Unfortunately, Mr. Lee pays off the authorities, so many attempts to stop his evil deeds did not succeed. Many ex-masters came to the magazine office and testified in details.
Mr. Lee is extremely uneducated, and he doesn’t even know how to write his son’s Chinese characters, but he somehow gets by with his brain wash techniques and good looks. Superficially, he claims he teaches Sun Do and Dahn Gun, but in reality he is evil cult leader to be forwarned.

He regrets to inform his supporters that as of 23rd of March, he will resign from all Dahn World management. He also resigns from BR Consulting that he raised last 30 years and leaving all the benefits to his Jeja (masters). He blames Christians and people with selfish interests to attack his NGO groups, religion and corporation that revived ancient Korean tradition. He also demanded Korean Americans to stop attacking DW since DW is spreading Korean spirituality and culture to the world.

He also stated "The truth that I can show to the world is the truth of his vision and his life." Whatever dispute will be settled by the law, and if it is due to conspiracy he will blame it on conspirators' conscience. DW started in 1980 and there are 360 centers throughout Korea and 1000 centers throughout 10 countries (this is total BS), spreading hong-ik sprit and brain education. He also operates ~40 non-profit organizations and led NGO movements.

There it goes. Well, Ilchi ran to Japan, feeling the heat from SBS broadcasting. He is afraid either Korea or US authority will prosecute him. The investigators from the US agencies are poking around all over Korea and Ilchi is definitely feeling the heat. Those "beautiful" enlightened masters in DW should know this con job is about to be over. Face the reality. You are not a master of dahn, meditation, healing, yoga or martial arts. Cham Jeon Gye Kyung, Sam Il Shin Go, Chun Bu Kyung are not 3 ancient holy book but fake history written by another recent cult leader. You can fool yourself to be anything. Don't be fooled. Recent SBS TV show revealed the golden turtle Ilchi sold for thousands of dollars contained 65% lead and no gold or silver or bronze. Your vision, nor imagination nor positive thinking can change the lead to gold. That makes Ilchi a con man. Don't you see?
