Balloonknot: I don't order pro boxing PPVs so I've got to ask.
Can you tell what they do that makes these look more professional ?
The new UFC promoters are obviously trying to mimic the WWE in regard to promos, ring entrances, etc.
Is this a bad thing?

For one thing, they have celebrities that go to boxing matches. Another is the fact that they have pro-announcers who actually understand boxing (like Foreman/Lewis/Cyaz,etc). To answer your second question: YES. Also, boxing has thousands of sports writers producing articles everyday. Comparing boxing to UFC is like comparing kindergarten to College!

Celebrities going to boxing matches.
Thousands of writers, writing about boxing.
These are two things generally beyond the UFC's control, and will increase over time. Do these two things really decrease your enjoyment of the event?
All it does is annoy me when the camera focuses on celebrities. I'm not paying to see celebrities. Show me the friggen match.
I don't live in America, so I don't know how much seeing sports writers talk about a boxing match increases the presentation of the product?.
(personally I don't see how the comment is relevant to presentation at all but thats just me...)

Having announcers that don't know what the **** is going on talking out of their asses is what he's talking about.
THe only time I have seen is when they had BJ Penn assisting announcing but they didn't even let him talk, in boxing when a guy makes a mistake and compares his opinion with george foreman, foreman sets him straight and tells him what the **** is going on.
This is what he's talking about, also the ring announcers are better, also the WWE entrances just annoy the **** out of me, not like the old school UFC that actually had meaning.I'll make one when I can find one I like. -
