Sweet, just curious what school do you train with?
And do they emphasize MMA? Or fighting with a striking opponent? (Like reminding you to keep your head low/ hands up?)
Remember the time in the 6th grade where you got your ass-kicked by that 80-pound short-kid? Got BJJ?

Hey, that's great. It's bloody addictive -- it'll become all you think about. I lost about twenty pounds my first six months in BJJ. Fabulous workout.

Ya alot of the guys seem pretty good, yes they do remind you to keep your guard up but in the regular BJJ class you don't strike.
In the Vale Tudo class they have, they teach striked from the mounts and guard positions.
There is a compeition today at Winston High in Dallas that the school is competing in which I am hoping to go to.
I go to Mohler's in Coppell.I'll make one when I can find one I like. -

Talk about addictive. I'm on vacation last week in Maui for a friend's wedding. The weather is great, everything is pretty much paid for and what do I do? I track down a BJJ place on the island so I can get at least one fix while I'm there. The other people I was staying with looked at me like I was growing horns. My wife just laughed and told me not to break anything. Being a submission junkie can be quite sad sometimes (but a lot of fun).
"I had once talked to Billy Conn, the boxer, about professionals versus amateurs - specifically street fighters. One had always heard rumors of champions being taken out by back-alley fighters. Conn was scornful. "Aw, it's like hitting a girl," he said. "They're nothing."
