www.bjjtapes.com is now otane.com. Is this a legit site?
I've sent 4 emails that returned mailer daemon.
They have the Triangle dvd and book listed but I'm kinda skeptical about purchasing.
    Anyone know anything about it?

lol, it figures they'd put it back on the market right after Ryan Hall puts out a Triangle Course that blows it out of the water

FACT- Eddie Bravo invented the triangle choke when he used it to tap out helio gracie at an ac/dc concert.

I ordered it, 30 bucks I can deal with it if it's not. Print says it comes with the 2 hour DVD as well. I'll post again once I get it with more info.

I had deleted this, but as a Machado student, I will leave it to avoid the appearance of favoritism.

Nonetheless, this thread is about "The Triangle" by Rigan. Please stay on topic. If you want to start a separate thread comparing the two, you are free to do so.

I was at a Rigan seminar when he explained why he wrote the book. He used material from that book to teach the seminar with. He said they gathered statistics at all the world level BJJ events, and that the technique with the most finishes at that level over 3 years of gathering statistics was the triangle.

The seminar was cool - I remember one of the drills we did I really liked was going from circle to adjustment to finish on the triangle with no hands. That really helps getting the distance and angles right in your mechanics.

    My mistake.

I haven't actually seen the whole entire set that Ryan put out yet so I couldn't do a full comparison, but I do have both Rigan's book and DVD from years ago. They actually probably helped me acquire my nickname when I was a white belt.

I got the same seminar! It really did help my triangle game, the only part it was missing was to pigeon toe your feet for the finish.

same here. I learned the Twister and Inverted Spider-Guard at that seminar too and they never left me even though I couldn't use either effectively for another 8 months or so, lol. it was within my first couple weeks of training, and Rigan actually rolled with me. Too bad I was too new to really get anything out of it besides a beating.
