    Alright, I know this probably counts as "thread necromancy", but as there doesn't seem to be much else in the line of discussion of Haganah...

    Those who have experience with Haganah, I keep hearing that their clinch ("POR") techniques are good techniques. I also read that some things look like Muay Thai. Are the POR techniques just Muay Thai clinchwork? If so, it'd seem to make more sense to just go to a MT gym and learn it straight than buy this guy's $300 dvd set...

    But maybe I"m wrong, and these POR are something I wouldn't find elsewhere?

    While there is a lot of MT influence only the center POR is from MT. I have not seen these anywhere else.

    Maybe I'll have to check that out- what specific dvd has the better part of the POR's?

    The 3dvd set covers them. If you go straight to them actually try them with a partner keeping in mind to keep doing damage. they are a decision point not a stopping point. this is for legal reasons concerning use of force ie the ability to choose the appropiate level.
