    bone hardening

    Hey, I new here so if I make any n00bish mistakes here, forgive me.

    I used to do aikido, a little jujitsu and kobudo in the past, but there wasn't much striking in any of those. I fought Karate as a kid, but that was years ago. Now I'm taking TKD and I kick hard. The problem is when I make bone to bone contact and hurt myself, especially my shins. It's nothing I can't walk off or anything, but it's annoying and I'd like to avoid it if possible. So, can anyone advise me about bone hardening exercises?

    If you are not regularly using your shins as the point of impact on your kicks, your time is better spent training something else. (cardio, technique etc.)

    I know of exercises to strengthen the muscles of some parts of the body used in striking, but a "hardening of the bone", nothing comes to mind.

    I suppose its possible to do it through a program of dietary planning, supplements or herbs. That's out of my frame of reference.

    i'm a broke college student. the tkd club is free. muay thai is not. Get it?

    Dark Majique, usually when I hit with my knees, it's because my partner has stepped in, so I'm not trying to kick with them, but sometimes it happens.

    antonanton, I'll try that. I don't know why I haven't before. I guess I didn't think it would work.
