    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Hidehiko Yoshida vs. Rulon Gardner

On new Year's eve Yoshida will be fighting Rulon Gardner - a 268 pound Greco-Roman wrestling olympic Gold medallist. I think he's got about 50 pounds of muscle on yoshida, and he's also training [I believe] with team quest.

    Any Predictions?

Saw that, I'm hoping for a lot of high amplitude throws.

Sorry for the derailment, but who the flip is this guy? http://www.sherdog.com/fightfinder/f...fighterID=1743

****, I wanted Yoshida to fight another big name.

Should be good though - could be a very technical fight.

Has there been much judo vs. wrestling in MMA?

My CTO was on the Olympic team at Barcelona. He competed with Rulon prior to that and won by 3 points. It's pretty awesome to have an Olympic Caliber wrestler as one of your bosses.

This is going to be a good fight. Not a great fight, but a good fight.

    I got Rulon by GnP.

Had you heard of him before that post?

I meant, for example, a Silva rematch, or something along those lines.

Though I don't deny this could be interesting...

Please, no one is permitted to reference this complete travesty without first giving us a summary of Karelin's absolute superiority, and then showing how a small rules change led to a fluke victory by stall over Karelin, the most amazing human being who ever lived.
Normally, I'd say I was grappling, but I was taking down and mounting people, and JFS has kindly informed us that takedowns and being mounted are neither grappling nor anti grappling, so I'm not sure what the **** I was doing. Maybe schroedinger's sparring, where it's neither grappling nor anti-grappling until somoene observes it and collapses the waveform, and then I RNC a cat to death.----fatherdog
