choke with shins?

hey guys.

i recently rolled with some kung fu guys (weng chun kung fu under GM Andreas Hoffman, do a search) ...
first time hehe

since i had all my grappling "moves" from the web so i was unsure of how to apply everything right. and i dont have a counter to being mounted yet.

anyways ... as i was trying various things on a poor victim, i tried ... a triangle lock.
however i didn't "sink it in" or something, i ended up choking him with my shins ...

i dont know how to explain it really ... well, you got say your left shin over his adams aple and your right shin behind his neck, you hold the hand that is nearer to you through your legs and extend the arm... then you cross your feet and well ... choke. what seemed to be necessary was, that the "front" shin(in example: left leg) was hooked "under" the other leg, so your leg is more rotated inwards.

oh yeah and i got tapped often ... as i said, no mount defense, stupid me stretching arms in the air WAITING to be armbarred ...argh

oh and yeah, my kimura and americana didnt't work. my victim just didn't feel any pain! however, a knee lock worked. in contrary to ankle locks, which i can't get just right.

suggestions?

iam busy with karate and kickboxing. i already train 5-7 times a week!
i really like groundfighting and i know that i'd better be good at it, but time and money.
ok seriously i don't have an excuse? or maybe ... oh yeah. no grappling schools around. (no bjj, no good judo, just "weng chun kung fu" with grappling parts afaik :P)

You don't know what the hell you are doing and you could seriously injure your training partners!

Now that you've all seen it, I hear you all going "OMFG UD NEVAR GET THAT". I can tell you that I've gotten it BY ACCIDENT. I was just climbing my guard really high, and while playing around with rubber guard and triangles and armbar, I ended up with a shin in front of his neck, so I reached around and grabbed my foot. He escaped because I'm not super good at this move, but it goes to show how you can get it without anything magical contortions.

there is, but afaik only as part of some "bigger things" where then is "dancing, aikido, shotokan karate, table tennis" and so on... other than being far away, i dont think it can be too good, and (look up there, time :P and i suck)
