And McCain was an exception to this; he's got financial ties to boxing which were the likely source of his "anti-MMA" crusading.

Though this concept of team MMA sounds pretty cool, I find that it may be hard to actually put into action. The more fighters in the ring, the less control there is.

I really want to see a bunch of people with sticks hitting eachother without armor.

Wow Phrost way to pigeonhole people and generalize there. Nice.

I think the chances for injury in a team brawl setting would be a little high for it to be a sustainable sport.

    heres an idea,
Have each wieght class represent a number
have them like each 1 to 6, number depending on the wieght and how big it is, (1 is the smallest)
make it so the teams of 2, both fighters equal a pretty even number, so if you wanted a 6 fighter, hed hafta have a 1 with them, yeah, 7 sounds like a good number.

Man I thought you were joking. Do they have mass attack boxing? Mass attack (real) wrestling? What good would this do for MMA? It would bring it closer to the old days when it was percieved as an undisciplined brawl.

I figure if you force both sides to have an equal number of combatants on the mat at the same time, it's just going to look like multiple mma matches going on in the same ring, I doubt there would be that much interaction between the fighting pairs. Each fighter would probably have their hands too full with their own opponent to be of much help to their team mates.
