Exactly why should "martial artists hold themselves to a higher standard" ? What kind of hippie BS is this? People should hold themselves to a higher standard, whether or not they train in martial arts.

I am as conservative as anybody you have ever met. You are correct in saying everybody should hold themselves to a higher standard. My concern is not for everyone...it is for matial artsits. I do not have the energy to care for how the knitting community is representing itself, and I think it is obvious how the surfing community is representing itself. I do care about how the martial arts community is represented.

Incidentally,

Aparently the kid got what was coming to him, and while it may have been illegal, I wouldn't think it was immoral. Someone who purposefully disrupts a sporting event, refuuses to stop when asked nicely, and mouths off SHOULD get a beating. Why the **** not?
