Let's see, challenging questions deleted from their forum. A strict, "our martial art only" system.
Sounds like a cult to me.

I checked the rank listing over on the official WHRD Association website...I couldn't find Eric Lee on the list. At one time he was a 5th dan under his Supreme Grandmaster Pa...
Apparently family members like Eric Lee don't have to be libel'd on the Kangaroo "Judiciary" section of that board. ( see: http://www.hwarangdo.com/bbcert.htm )
Golly, what happened to Eric Lee? Should we make a report of a missing person?
On De Alba: It's good to see he posted the photos of the master's ceremony & his actual certificates and awards. Rather blows away Supreme Grandmaster Joo Bang Lee's claims that De Alba's 4th dan was just honorary or provisional. It is astounding to see that material still up on the WHRDA site--it says a lot (not good!) about Joo Bang Lee and company.

From my understanding M. de Alba had a 6th degree.
What the HWRD group so called "judicial committee" do is after they expell you then if they cant erased were ever a member they would instead try to demote your rank as much as possible instead. All of this is a form of black mail and entrapment. It seems cultish alright.

I recieved an email from Master H Lee (yes I still call him a master because I still have respect for him). The reason why the post was deleted was because it was a personal matter and he felt that he didn't need to share it with the rest of the world, which is understandable.

I have to wonder why Taeejoon Lee (the martial artist formerly known as Henry Lee) wasn't disciplined by the WHRDA Judicial committee for his DUI. You'd figure he'd at least be dropped a dan or so...and have his name up in full public view.
Apparently whatever Eric (is it Taeyoon?) Lee has done wasn't bad enough to get him listed on the Judiciary commitee's poop list, either. Just off the WHRDA list...
One standard for Da Boyz, another for everyone else. The World has to know about Bub Duggan, Michael De Alba, and Gil Kim...but not about lawbreakers and outcasts in the Supreme Lee family. Doesn't really equate, does it?
However, it has become clear after reading such oddities as the WHRDA neo-Judiciary puffery that someone hasn't been following the Hwarang O-Kwae. And it hasn't been the men castigated by their site.
Happiness to Y'all,

and here's Mr.Duggan's account of his personal experience with the Lees in the "early days", including the Judicial Committee incident:
