    I'm going to try cutting my runs down to once/twice a week, and try the suggestions offered here. Being able to run away from things when I need to, and and generally getting a break from from life in general is a big deal, that I missed when I had a cast and was on crutches, from an unrelated injury. If they don't start to get better, however slowly, with less running ... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Hopefully, I won't. :)

    Ok sorry..I had to make that joke. Hope your leg heals soon. Just be careful, remember, you'll thank yourself for your ability to run in a few weeks, as opposed to fucking up your leg.

    ok are you fucking retarded? this is what my doctor, coach, **** even the mailman said- dont do anything until they go away. "cutting down" wont do **** all, THEY NEED TIME TO HEAL. but hey, if going for a run or whatever is more important to you than mobility, you go sister. if you want to get rid of shin splints and become a powerhouse of sexual energy and cataclysmic power like myself, you'll take a couple of weeks off doing any kind of running/jogging/skipping, get some new shoes, and start again SLOWLY.
