I'm going for the overdose and can't serve too much fish at home each week. Too much mercury for the kids.

Sprilina. No matter how long I use this stuff, it tastes like what I would assume a stagnant bog to taste like.

Also Burdock and Yellow Dock tea. I used to drink that stuff all the time. Apparently it's supposed to make your immune system stonger. It tates like licking construction paper that has been laying on a busy street and stepped on by a few thousand people.

    A very valid concern.

One thing I discovered were that sardines were high in Omega-3s, but low in mercury, as they're low on the food chain.

I don't know how they taste.... yet.

    Good on ya. :gwbdance:

Sardines are delicious - assuming you love that uber-fish oil taste of course. They're as oily as hell and the oil most sardines come in will make a room smell more-than-fishy in no time.

Oily. And fishy. And super-high in protein. That's the best way to describe sardines. You can get them in tins with hotsauce or brine added, and this is what I would recommend. I eat them with salads. Some days, I really enjoy eating them. Other days, not so much and they become a giant chore.

Fish oil gel capsules are very cheap and all sorts of good for you, so I treble my dosage on those and eat a lot of tilapia, catfish and salmon, with the occasional tin of tuna and tuna steak. Currently, I'm trying to eat fish once a day, plus the fish oil caps.

I actually quite like the fish oil burps. They're not as bad as opening a tin of sardines, and they're proof positive that the fish oil is actually getting into your system. Other pill supplements, I find myself suspiciously wondering whether any of them got digested at all.

And yes, spirulina does have a horrible taste, but some is much, much worse than others. You can get it in capsule form though.

For those with problems with whey supplements, try Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard. Good stuff and very tasty.

While it is not disgusting, my post-breakfast bowl of oatmeal has become a dreaded part of my day. Five days a week I have a bowl of oatmeal after eating a bowl of cereal and a glass of orange juice. It got old a year ago...

Sardines?!! Omega 3?!!! Hot damn..I'm in heaven!!

Sardines packed in mustard sauce served with grits...Nothing like 'em!!

The folks in South Carolina didn't know they had it so good...can't wait to tell my cousins.

My mouth is watering..I'm gonna have some right now...

I am also taking fiber supplements...Psyillium seed and Inulin...its not that they taste too bad...but the after effects... soluble fiber vs. cholesterol..you know...
