That staff pic looks likeit came from 24 hour fitness.
    an' how 'bout this quote,
"The best requirements in order to learn TC are enthusiasm, open-mindedness and diligence. We don´t need sweaty gymnastics or fitness training. Tao Concepts teaches you to finish a fight quickly. The shorter the fight, the lower is the probability of being hit."

Sorry for reviving this age-old thread, but as I see nobody mentioned the totally awesome videoclips on the TC-page ... they are teh funny and absolutely worth a look for their comedic value:

    http://www.tao-concepts.info/downloa....php3?id=clip2
    http://www.tao-concepts.info/downloa....php3?id=clip1

    and my favorite:

    totally puke-tastic :XXpuke:

Sadly you guys cant read Demanns [TC-guy] e-paper yet, especially his insights on groundfighting and MMA are totally fabulous :evil5:
    but dont be too sad:
An English version is upcoming in 2006!

I read german. Show me where they are. Why do most of these kung fu types always say crap like, "It will allow you to relax, improve your posture, all while remaining loose and supple." As if their system is some kind of fountain of youth which at the sametime teaches you to be a wirling dervish of slappy happy death bringing fagetry. . .

    @ MrMcFu :

They propably took down the book since it might have caused them a good amount of negative publicity.
I remember reading the "interesting" parts and they were bottom of the barrel - they used every damn thinkable cliche you can imagine ... my eyes hurt just by thinking of it :crybaby2:
but if you want to read a bit about the whole issue, here is a link to a german MA forum covering this topic :

    http://www.kampfkunst-board.info/for...portler-19903/

In this thread you will find some brilliant excerpts of the said book ... quality stuff like this

geistige Grundausstattung in Mitleidenschaft ziehen. So gern der
Volksmund auch von intelligenten Boxern spricht. Es gibt einfach
keine.
    Geld vermieten.

What the hell is up with that. So wierd

Competitions need rules that the opponents have to follow. These rules prevent injuries. Many effective technics are not allowed in a competition and so, these are also not exercised. On the streets there are no rules, judges or protectors. You are alone and by yourself. Tao Concepts was developed for the hard usage on the streets. TC is not a kind of sports. Somebody who is interested in sporting duels will find a great variety of pure competition systems in the world of Budo
    Lol
