I love that last clip. He waits for the fist to be fully extended in his face before he parries it lol

I realize they are just drilling, but shouldn't they be using body power instead of just their arms?

after being @ a mcdojo for awhile and questioning the drills before leaving...this kinda reminds me of why i left. in the last one like akurra says, the dude in the black has his fist fully extended before its blocked....not only that but his extended punch is still like 5-6 inches away from its target. i realize its a drill but if you don't train proper distance you'll never know it. i'm learning that now and its an eye opener, but its great!

The only links that have my stuff on them are the ones with shirkers in the link and mark. The others are from other styles of mantis and practitioners that have nothing to do with me. So I'll only comment on mine. If you follow this link it will explain my drills and answer your questions about my vids you have posted here. As to application, what the drills are for etc. These are very basic drills and the guys had only done them once before. So all the issues you spoke of are answered in the thread below. Enjoy.

These drills look poorly executed. It doesn't even look like these people are close enough to hit each other. I think FMA hubud drills are better.

shirk, I see. Thanks much. If they are first timers, then you teach the hands, then add in body power, no? They just look so static, I guess I should have thought they were rookies.

    *Bah!* Like I'm any better!:D
