This is 40 meg HL video from the old www.jujutsu.netpol.pl site. The tournament, I believe, was sponsored by Tatami. The original site is down and I had this one sitting in my HD for awhile and a friend was nice enough to host it for awhile so be sure to save it.
Great stuff to look at overall. Seems to be more of the JJJ than the BJJ. Although I could be wrong and there are BJJ's who crosstrain as well and have entered into the tournament along with tthe JJJ people.

Heh heh heh...those Polish mofos play ROUGH. LOVE IT!
Reis - that was some sweet vid man! Good find.
Gotsta say though, liked the spinning hooking kick KO! Heh heh.
Some of the editing pissed me off, but still, it was tidy.
Overall, some good fighters and some very couragous fighting spirit. What some of those dudes lacked in technical expertise, they made up for in balls.
Seal of approval? Hell yes.

Holy ****!! That tournament ROCKED! Those guys don't fool around. Now, THAT'S the way to train! I don't think any of these guys will have a problem pulling their stuff off in a real situation... well... they will do a LOT better than someone who has never rolled that hard.
I was surprised to see that much punching and kicking. Is that typical of JJ? I took Danzan Ryu JJ (sp?) for about 3 months, and we did hardly any punching and kicking. The guys in this tournament, though, were animals. Lots of knees, too. (Were elbows illegal?) I'll be having flashbacks of that kick at 1:50 for days.
Mighty fine stuff!
Got more? :P

Some of those guys are ITF TKD fighters... Recognise them from comps...

Awesome video. But wait, it can't work, Japanese Jiujitsu is a traditional martial art! The video is staged!
Tough is not how you act, tough is how you train.

MMA with GIs. Nice. Awesome spinning kick KO.
Rashomon - correct; JJJ varies so much it's ridiculous. Most places seem to be no-sparring Bullshido's. Wasted a year at one myself.
Some great techniques there. It's full contact Karate/thai+Judo/BJJ/Wrestling, indentical to those at least (which is what effective JJJ is supposed to be anyway.)
Japanese Jiujitsu is a traditional martial art
Whoever said TMAs don't work doesn't know much about MA...thai, boxing, karate, judo, bjj, jjj are all traditional, we know they work. There has been quite a few full contact JJJ tournaments, they all showcase effective stuff. Search on google.
Osiris I think thai is v.popular in Poland (did you see all the roundhouses in that clip???), the intructor I go to did it for years and is Polish. Most of those JJJ people probably study it tbh, along with TKD and karate/JJJ etc etc.
"Training = pain." - I said that.
PizDoff when drunk: "I'm actually MOST pissed that my target for the evening got drink...then I gave her my Bullshido Canada hoodie like a gentleman because she was outside with not much on...did I mention she barfed twice when I got our jackets...steaming barf is kinda fascinating..." - PizDoff.

If you guys like this, there's a couple of tapes worth getting called Japan Open or something...can't remember, I have them somewhere, but anyway it's an annual competition in Japan of amatuer MMA. all kinds of guys using different types of Karate, MT, Judo, Wrestling, etc, and Osiris is right about the striking, in that clip it isn't all Thai.
