    Hell yeah! Hell no!

Is there anyway I can get complete UFC 1 footage?

Is there any way that I can get complete footage from the first UFC tournament? When I look on amazon.com, I can find collections of highlights from, for example, the early UFCs, but I can never find the first UFC tournament in its entirety.

I am curious as to what happened in the non-highlight sections of the first UFC. Were there lame TKD guys avoiding each other for the whole time? Were there, like, two kungfu guys doing weird things to each other that didn't even work? I'd really like to see the first UFC and draw my own conclusions.

If you could give me some tips as to where I might be able to get a simple recording of the whole first UFC, I would appreciate it very much.

Thanks a lot for your help.

check Hollywood video, or any other video store, and try to rent it, then record it or steal it...
UFC 1 was actually pretty funny. Got this TKD'er named Patrick or something, who didn't look like he used much TKD, more low kicks and stuff. Anyway, I believe in his interview he says something like
"I am....the most strongest, most pwerfullest, most craziest guy here"

I think he got beat retarded at a young age, then again by Shamrock later in his match against him.

Don't know if this will help...

If there are any Japanese video shops in your area, they might be able to help. I joined one right below my appartment and found a huge collection of pride and K1 and UFC 1 and 2.

The UFC 1 they had was weird, the first 20 minutes or so were a documentary for Royce Gracie and GJJ. Then it went on to the tournament, which is the same one most people have seen.

I think if you get some of the highlight dvds, they show alternate fights and fights not shown from the original broadcasts of UFC 1 and 2. It has been discussed extensively on sherdog.

    this might help http://www.sherdog.net/forums/showth...footage+of+UFC

Yeah, the TKD did pretty well, but he was still retarded sounding

I felt bad for the sumo, he looked like he wanted to cry out of frustration after not being able to compete cause he was bleeding all bad. That Boxer was soo fuickin sick comin out with 1 glove on. I saw that and was just like "WTF?"

The TKD guy was pat smith, and he was awesome! Did you see him make a stain out of the ninja's face?

He came 2nd in UFC 2, and made a few good appearances in UFC 6 and some vale tudos. He also whupped Andy Hug (RIP) butt in K1 in record time.

Personally, I think he is great.

Yup - Gerard Gordeau was tough as nuts! Damn Dutch...

Still, noone stood out quite as much as Royce.

The argument I always hear is because they were using traditional styles against other traditional styles, and not against modern cross-trained MMA guys. But man those first UFCs were cool to watch, and I give all those guys a lot of respect for stepping into something they had no real experience (or knowledge) in.

We were rootin' for Gerard the whole time...he put on a serious show with the first fight ever in the UFC (kicking the sumo guy's tooth out, then bustin' on him with a stiff right hand).

Check this out. They said the UFC I video was currently out of stock but that it could be specially ordered. (Click on "Shop," then "UFC Merchandise."
