Well, bullshido got me in trouble at work a couple of times, and it probably screwed my study schedule. On the plus side, thanks to the people here I decided to start a MA which allows me to spar hard contact, and I got some excellent training advice as well - my H2H proficiency has increased a lot, and is still increasing thanks to that advice.

Finally, I have met some very interesting people here, some of whom I am proud to call friends, even though we never met in person. All in all, it is all good.

    Where the maps are spread,
    His eyes fixed upon nothing,
    A hand under his head.

I was already turning toward MMA-style training but Bullshido really sealed the deal for me.

(Saying that made me want to bust some freestyle rap.)

I forgot to mention that Bullshido gave me a new love in my life:

I found Bullshido surfing for porn. Thanks to Bullshido I now know of the existence of Real Doll, have marveled at the wisdom of Hannibal and Tai-gip, and am now wearing a Kimbo Slice hoody...

I would say it has affected me in two ways:

    1) It feels good to know I helped create something so cool that has helped others

    2) I have learned to be more tolerant of non-MMA arts and be more open-minded in general

Admittedly, when first lurking in Bullshido I had written off some traditional arts (wing chun, etc) based on their performance record in MMA combat.

    I still don't respect th3 de3dl3y Ninja, though......

Well, I will never respect frauds, and claiming to be teaching/doing Ninja crap is BS because it's a dead art...but most TMA are different, while they may not be my first choice, some are certainly viable forms of self-defence and/or adequate fighting systems.

I learn even more about others here in the U.S. and around the world.

Bullshido has provided me with endless hours of amusement, entertainment, and erotica.

It has introduced me to new online friends and realtime acquaintances--- some that I shall never forget..some I hope to never really meet in person.

The Bullshido throwdowns have given me an opportunity to test my skills and learn new things---- as well motivate me to train harder.

Thanks to Bullshido, I have been able to evaluate my personal training system and refine it for myself and my family.

...and, Bullshido has sharpened my debating skills. Gotten me in trouble at work. Given me a serious online jones. Caused me to be a "potty mouth" at home and at work, and re-awakened many of my dark perversions...but the good far outweighs the bad. :)

Given me a greater appreciation for all of the MAs.
Learned there are some truely screwed up people out there.
Learned there are some truely gifted good people out there.
Learned there is a limit to p0rn (thanks Shum')
Had some of the best laughs of my life.....

Been doing this Interweb thing since 1986, Bullshido is the first and, so far, only site I have ever paid for. Thanks to Phrost and all of the Storm Troopers.

I also have a love that will not speak its name for KP's wife ;) (its a whole pirate thing, arrrr).
