The part I liked best is when he just leaned into that dog-slow spinning wheel kick.

first off wheel kicks are completely inneffective if your opponent moves so much as 6 inches towards you.

I would have loved to see him use that defense on a spinhook.

jut sao.. people think its a block but you can apply it to the throat...

thou the technique he uses look doubtful to me

defending against a jab by walking across the rear cross!...or leg?

well one better have amazing timming then if not a degree of precognition.. the outside defense to jab followed by walk thru throat strike makes more sense but the jab is thrown 'outside" to start with...hardly realisic

wT has very few techniques for dealing with jabs . apart from standing your ground and feeding off a more firm move that places the attacker commited to some foot placement...

the jab places the attackers arm out of contact to a degree that makes some triggered hand reaction skill from chi sao unlikley to work.

if someone is trying to box you fight them adage is a better way to go than applying some fancy hand work..

move on their arms with longarm techniques such as bil and chun sao.. these act to block the long distance stop hitting leads and pressurise the "premise' of trying to box..

concetrate on getting offside and the techniques follow.. it becomes almost irrelevant what the guy is trying to do with his hands.

    and cut your hair

do you mean full contact sparring?

in the main no... but many schools have adopted it...

    BUT

few seem able to apply the system to the sparring

Chi sao can evolve into light sparring of some considerable use but only if the practicioners are aware of when they have been hit so they don't just reply with a hit of there own rather than aknowledge the reality represented in the exchange... that real thing exposes the truth of it all I guess

I think he was refering to the 'larp sao' tai-gip mentioned boris, larp being the acronym for live action role-playing.
Lap sao is a grabbing/controlling technique in vt, and the name of a basic 2-person exercise.

Yeah. The sound track was dope. It reminded me of 70's porn.

Honestly, the soundtrack might be the best thing about that clip :)
