Nice double off the clinch! Everyone else has said all that needs to be said technically.

Good drive to get the finish!

Did you end up in the guard?

Good takedown WS, and I also agree to not put the knee down. If you want to get a little lower, step deep in between his legs. You can set this movement up by stepping back a little and snapping his head down and when he comes up...you can also push his head to one side, hard and then step between his legs... There are a bunch of setups, some really good ones from MT.

The technique that Matt W. is refering to (i think) is a spear (alot of russian guys do it). Basically put your head in his stomach, pull his ankles behind you, and drive like a motherf***er (hard on the neck though).

Also in order to get that "pop", as you drive inward (off of the deep step) look up at the cieling and thrust your hips in and up (sort of like doing a one legged squat, don't forget to step up with your other leg) this helps to keep your force going forward in case he gets a decent sprawl.
In order to blow em' out it helps to angle your body in the setup of the takedown, drive in and up, turn up and to the side that your shoulder is on (say left side), bring your right elbow up (you will be holding onto thier legs), follow with your left elbow (like emptying a wide bucket to your left), look to the side your going (left), and drive your body into them as you hit the mat, secure side control, and well the options are endless.
[A friend once told me he found Jennifer Connelly hot.
"Would she still be hot if she were melting in a car wreck, like at the end of Pollock, smelling of burnt hair and bubbling intestines?" I asked.
    "Oh hell yeah."
"How? How would you even have sex with her?"
"Just let her cool and fold her over, like an omolette."
Since then we've always had this universal sign for Jennifer Connelly, it's like an "opening a book" motion, only backwards. And we are often known to softly remark "....like an omolette".]--boyd

On the wall is the Shidokan Symbol it says: Shidokan - Kickboxing - Karate - Grappling

After this it went: guard -> side control -> Keylock

This was at the last throwdown.

Ok for a kickboxer, i guess.

-j/k, not bad, maybe drop your level more before shooting in order to get deeper penetration so you can get your hips under the guy.

You did more of a "scooping" double leg. I usually drop lower (knee to the ground) and pin the opponents knees together. then drive forward as others have mentioned. This way, you lower the chances of getting hit on the way in, and you dont have to worry about passing the guard, because you completely avoid it.

That looked good to me - the thing about being lower would improve it though. I have a mental picture of my goals with the double leg -

What I do is imagine that I am trying to life the guy up with my hips, so this means I have to get them low and drive up/forward with a straight back. In my mind, I picture that if I bend, I somehow lose the correct momentum.

I know this sounds gh3y, but it helps me keep form. Maybe someone invented a double leg kata that demonstrates it better :)
