    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Critique my double leg

    So what do you think?

    <------

I feel like I got good penetration but didn't get my hips quite low enough.

My first thought, before I read your own thoughts, was you didn't drop your level enough. Other than that, very nice. And it worked. Nothing is "text book" in a real fight!

Also, one other thing. It's not wrong to put your head to the outside, but you lcan eave yourself open to a guillotine or headlock that way. Some advocate keeping your head in the middle, basically put your forhead into his abs. But that's more of a personal preference thing.

    Whiteshark,

    Sweet double!

Nice leverage and good for the street cause your not doing a knee down.

I do think the knee down is better on the mat

because you go deeper and pass the guard while performing the take down

IMO you were ripe for a guillotiene, crossface, or cattle catch

You can also just keep your head up during the shot. I still get opponents who try and guillotine me when I do it, but give up pretty quickly, because my head just isn't oriented right for a choke.

This is pretty much my first "live" double. Everything else has been a drill or on a crash mat.

I was worried about the guillotine but It seems like I transitioned fast enough to avoid it. Also I hate the idea of dropping to my knee whether on t3h str33ts or not it seems like a bad idea. Every time I've tried it my shot is much slower.

My instinct says don't drop to knee but all the best wrestlers do it.

A little high on the head and hips, the drive was good, but maybe a bit more "lift", to add "omph" and make it a bit of a slam.

Looks good aside from the head position and hips being a little high. But the most important thing is you got the take down. You drove in very well, which made up for not getting down low enough.

I agree about the knee down thing, on pavement or a hard floor that's a good way to split a knee cap.
Is Wayne Brady gonna have to choke a bitch?
