Where abouts are you looking? What suburbs? There's a school in Bondi under Paulo Guimaraes.

Paulo is a black belt under Jorge Pereira, who is a black belt under Rickson. I did some private lessons with him when I was a purple belt and he's a very knowledgeable guy.

I'm not a profighter. I'm a BJJ black belt, and I train (and occassionaly teach) MMA. I had a couple of amateur MMA fights about 8 years ago, but I'm too busy and don't really have the interest to fight MMA anymore.
I started training in martial arts in 1985. I've got a black belt in TKD (Doesn't everyone? Although we did use to spar quite hard), then trained in Okinawan Goju-Ryu for a few years. I've been doing BJJ since 1991 under John Will (Machado). I started the first BJJ school in NSW, moved to Sydney in 1996 and ran a school there before moving to Melbourne in 2001. I gave my old school in Sydney to Anthony and Elvis (http://www.sinosicperosh.com.au) and under those guys it's really taken off.
I now teach at Dominance Jiu-jitsu in Melbourne and I honestly think it's probably the best BJJ school in Australia. We've now got myself as the resident black belt, John Will comes in to teach every few weeks, and we've got five brown belts, a couple of purple belts and whole stack of blue belts, as well as a lot of white belts. John "The Reverend" Jensen teaches the MMA classes. The Rev is well known from the Underground and has fought people like Dan Severn and Travis Fulton in MMA, as well as being the founder of Millenia JJ in the U.S which has a great stable of MMA fighters. Our website is www.djj.com.au
Oh, and I worked as a bouncer for seven years.
