yeah, i don't get it.

if your definition of a mcdojo is a karate school, then i guess so. from what i can see, that school wouldn't fall under my definition of a mcdojo.

I'm with Andy and Migo on this one. Although it shows a few symptoms of a mcdojo (i.e., occasional misspelling/misunderstanding of Japanese terms & titles), I doubt it's anything harmfully illegitimate. In fact, a female master of her experience would probably be able to provide an interesting viewpoint.

Yeah. According to the page history she has her 2nd dan in Kyokushinkai Karate, so she's far from McDojo material. The demo download looks pretty naff (all flashy, goofy, overly choeographed sillyness), but I don't find anything overly offensive. It's not McDojo worthy unless they make outrageous claims about shape shifting, laser beam shooting, and calming goats at 200ft.

My friend Brent went to school with this guy back in the day. Appearantly, Ashida was a Green Belt in TKD and quit - one month later he published his first ninja book.

R u sure, did u see footage of the video demo. Did u see the technique, of the blackbelt males and look where she got her 6th degree from. Sort of odd.

I know of this other person, forget the url but it's a real McDojo - maybe even more so than that one, been meaning to post it (will try and find.)
