The Muay Thai guy lost. It happens. Get over it.Originally posted by Meravod
that was not a muay thai fighter. There was a thread on mma.tv about this and all agreed that the muay thai guy was set up to make tae kwon do look good and probably never trained muay thai. A real muay thai guy would have clinched and kneed the hell of the tkd dude or would have at least kept his hands up and covered up from those teolographed high kicks all aimed at head. -

Seriously. No need to defend the guy in the clip. Muay Thai is a good art, yes. Does that mean EVERY SINGLE PERSON who studies Muay Thai is a good fighter? no. This very well could've been a great TKDer against a really shitty MT guy. It doesn't really matter, and it doesn't so anyone any good to make excuses. Like I said in my first post, just because a TKDer won a fight against an MTer.... doesn't automatically mean TKD is better than MT, so stop acting like it really fucking matters. All it means is that in that ONE fight, that ONE TKD guy beat that ONE MT guy.

I think Meravod suffers some sort of trauma after watching a vid that shows MT losing to TKD,he might need psychological treatment~~~Originally posted by Halogen

This is so clearly a set up by some TKD organisation.. the "Thai" boxer can't clinch, do a decent low kick or throw a combination; he does not look Thai to me anyway, and if he is a Korean it does point more towards a set up then ever.
Perhaps this can be addressed at a throwdown; a few standup rounds between MT lovers and those on this site that still list TKD amonst their arts.. -

Im kinda suspicious of the clip myself, even though Im not a thai boxer it does look quite fishy. The supposed thai fighter was entirely to passive for a thai fighter. But there have been muay thai guys who have lost to other martial arts, if anyone remembers Harold Howards first fight in UFC 3. As was said before, one instance doesnt vault tkd to the forefront.
