I used to play keyboards and piano, and started playing bass a while ago. I love music, but I'm not all that talented (at least compared to the people I played with). There are no wrong threats, only wrong answers. (Strategy game truism)

I'm trying to pick up the banjo.“We are surrounded by warships and don’t have time to talk. Please pray for us.” — One Somali Pirate.

Played saxophone for 3 years, but now I play guitar.
Two of my friends are classicly trained guitarists, and one of them is majoring in classical guitar for his degree in music. Those fuckers can shred till the cows come home. Makes me wish I pressured my parents into getting lessons when I was a alot younger (didn't pick up guitar till after highschool).Apu: "Oh! You have just been Apu'd!"

I suppose this is as good a thread as any to confess...
I beat Djimbe. A lot. You'd think it'd be hard, but not for ol' Thunderfists! When I say a lot, believe me this is a daily occurence. I beat that bad boy like a redheaded stepchild. I slap Djimbe until my hands go numb. I mean I really whale on Djimbe, not just for 3 minute rounds, either. I keep beating him until I gas, and then I just beat him harder. I've been working on varying my combinations, getting my handwork a little faster, and whatnot; but the basic formula goes like this: I slap Djimbe, then I slap him harder, and finally start really beating him, while he just sits there and resonates like the big fat African drum that he is.
I also play guitar, badly, and can toss off a few tunes on the recorder, flute, or shakuhachi.I would liken it to the boxing or the muay thai of internal kung fu, even though that's like calling apples the oranges of the apple world. --WalkOn
