    Asia,

True, while not pure vegetarians, they aren't exactly avid hunters either. They'll eat meat, but their diet is still dominantly vegetarian.

You're all missing the point, we're not build to eat MEAT. We're built to build protein out of amino acids. However we get those amino acids is irrelevent to our systems. It's purely a personal decision.

Crimson we ARE built to eat meat. Not primarily meat, but we do have those little canines for ripping flesh. I am NOT in the "you must eat meat for poritein" camp. It's silly. There are way to many counterexamples. Vegetables have protein too. If you think you need to eat meat or protein shakes for basic health, your reading WAY to much Muscle & Fitness. It's just not supported by the science. The basic protein requirements for health are WAY less than the protein supplement supported magazines would have you believe.

I eat meat because I LIKE IT. It makes me feel strong and I actually believe what you eat influences your psychological make-up. Go ahead and laugh. At least I can differentiate between my subjective and scientificaly based reasons.

There's just no consensus in the scientific community on how much meat we NEED. If any. I like it. That should be good enough. If you want to make a social statement by not eating meat, good 4 U!

Now where's that file? I need to sharpen my canines.

You sound quite diet oriented? Are you a Chinese master of sorts? Impressive knowledge.

    Oh dear.

In your attempt at making Freddy look dumb, you have resurrected a two and a half year old thread.

    Self-ownage.

P.s. vegetarians are sissy. That is all.

On a more relevant point, I just noticed that when this thread was fresh, I had been training Baji for about 2 years and the beggining of this thread was talking about how long it takes. Now I hvae been doing Baji for 4 years and realize that this statement:

The only explanation he's given me so far (aside from the implied 'why do you give a ****? Baji is good stuff) is :

"With Baji you can make the most progress in the least time."

That seems to run counter to the 10 years idea. He's also said if you trained like a professional, 3 years was plenty.

...has turned out to be pretty good. I have not even come clos to training like a professional but I came in with solid Shaolin background and have trained pretty damn hard. At 3 years I won a first place award in a forms tournament and at 4 years I can definately put this stuff to use.

Now, I'm moving on to focusing on all that **** none of you believe in. .. .

i've seen the baji quan form and i don't think it's an ugly form. some of the twisting movements looks convoluted and hard to do.

i been told that practicing that style is very damaging to the body...
but ive gonna research this style a bit more.
