It's called "the mount", only difference being that they're grapevining your legs.

Either way, I understand that men and women have different ways of coping with frustration. Me, I just get fucking angry inside and go on a dirty-Mex food orgy.

See. And when I said women were weak before with arms like twigs, everybody shouted me down.

JKDChick might say the eye technique is not a technique but a last-ditch effort. Ever been attacked by a guy?

I used to do high school wrestling, and I was a small guy. When you're wrestling with somebody who outweighs you by 100 lbs., and is bigger and stronger than you, you're at a huge disadvantage, doesn't matter about techniques.

Very few women will be able to use any techniques, even at the black belt level, to counter a strong, determined rapist. The eye thing may be your only chance. Anything else you do will probably just make the guy mad without hurting him much, and possibly get you killed.

Also, why the **** would it matter if the guy puts the eye back in? I guarantee, if I rip someones eyes out of the socket intact, they arem't going to be having a great day and not a lot of men will be able to sustain an erection through that kind of thing.

The guys who make Poser porn might.

Yeah, if the guy is a WRESTLER.

Once I grappled with this huge fatass who outweighed me by like a hundred pounds but he was still helpless because he had no technique.

Just because someone is smaller and weaker, yeah, guess what...technique still makes a difference, especially when the other person sort of sucks.

I had a lot of women in my tkd class, some of them were very technical and proficient, none of them where 'tough' or 'fighters'.
In kyokushin there are only few women, but the ones that hang on are better fighters compared to the tkd girls (surprise, right?).
Some of the judo BB-girls can kick my ass.

Most women do have weak arms. Because they don't use them much. Same with guys who don't use them much.

The eyes are a primary target in any self-defense program

    Eyes
    Throat
    Groin
    Shin

What fucking art do you take? What do you think I take? Yeah, doing pitty-pat point sparring kicks at a guy is just going to make him mad. I take BJJ and JKDConcepts.

    THAT'S NOT WHAT THEY TEACH.

I agree that when someone is larger and stronger you are definately at a disadvantage. But to say that technique doesn't matter makes no sense - if that were true then every fight would ALWAYS be won by the larger and stronger people.

Now, if the person attacking you is larger, stronger and has better technique - your fucked.

My school is 10% women at the most. I think that lot of this has to do with the way that people are raised. From a very young age, girls are not exposed to the degree of violence that boys are. Think about the cartoons that are targeted to boys and those that are targeted to girls. The ones that boys generally watch are oftentimes based on violence (GI Joe or Ninja Turtles, anyone?). Young girls are the target market of toys like Barbie and shows like My Little Pony (this is when I was a kid. I don't know what the cartoons are now).

This division of entertainment continues into adolescence and adulthood. For some reason, lots of girls like Julia Roberts movies, Sex and the City, and The Princess Diaries. These are the adult versions of Barbie and the like. I don't know any man who wants to see a Julia Roberts movie unless there is sex guaranteed afterwards. Most men would rather see an action movie or a crime drama.

Martial arts are just a part of this division of entertainment. Through constant exposure to glorified violence, many more men than women have an interest in fighting. Hence, martial arts are more popular among men.

Like everything, there are exceptions. But this is something that I have found to be true most of the time.

On the flipside, most of the women I have talked to thoroughly enjoyed Kill Bill. I think the positive response to such a violent film is due to a strong female lead who isn't a thinly-veiled play for the Tomb Raider demographic (i.e. breasts and guns for the the gratification of the male audience). The Bride was not billed as a sex symbol capable of violence, but a warrior first and foremost.
