    Ok...... first of all, the "lower abs" don't cover your ribs. In fact, there's very little musculature over your ribs at all. If you want to increase your abdominal muscle size, do it like you would any other muscle - progressive resistance, meaning put some weight on your chest, do some damn situps, when it gets easy, add more weight.

    Do some sideways situps on a roman chair with a 45 lb plate held to your chest.
    Do some side bends with an 80 lb dumbbell in one hand. and yes, you'll need to switch the weight to the other hand to get both sides.
    Do incline twist-situps with weight on your chest.
    Then come back when you think you are ready to be kicked.
