Please take the time to check out this guy's profile. All but one of his black belts are "honorary."

He also claims to be a man of peace. I've seen his approach to this philosophy firsthand. He'd talk a lot of crap to or about other martial artists. They'd challenge him & he'd say that he doesn't fight because he's a man of peace.

What exactly is an "honorary" black belt...

An "honorary" black belt is just given to you whether you have experience in that art or not. Usually, martial arts instructors give one of these to someone as a kind gesture. Mr. Lay obviously let them go to his head. His only legit black belt is the 4th Dan in TKD. You'll notice his note of thanks to his "instructor" Jesse Guerra. Jesse was my father in-law. The only instruction he gave Brian was telling him when he was performing a hapkido technique incorrectly. That's it, no formal instruction whatsoever. Jesse was also the one that gave Brian the honorary black belt in hapkido.
